Email, read it.

I know that email is an ancient form of communication that you guys don’t appreciate, care for, or want to use. But I’m telling you that you have to use it. The rest of the world uses it for everything and you have to comply. Why? Because you do. Because the world revolves around it. Because it is the mature, responsible, adult thing to do.

Case in point – I emailed the seniors & their parents an invitation with a RSVP deadline of May 1. On May 2 I told the caterer how many people we are expecting. On May 3 a senior RSVPed because they just read the email.

I can keep going with this – several reminders of a deadline to turn in a form was sent by the COE office. Student missed the deadline, claims never saw the email. This is NOT a valid excuse.

Read your emails. Read them. All the time. Always & often.
